World Cup qualifying: Ben Davies, Ben Cabango and Kieffer Moore out of Wales squad

Ben Davies and Kieffer Moore will miss Wales’ final World Cup qualifying group games against Liechtenstein and North Macedonia due to injury.

Swansea City defender Ben Cabango has also withdrawn.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Davies, 32, has not played since damaging his hamstring during October’s defeat by Belgium.

He was included in Wales’ squad for the trip to Liechtenstein on Saturday, 15 November, and the home match against North Macedonia the following Tuesday.

Wrexham striker Moore, 33, was also named in the squad but sustained an injury during his club’s Championship win over Charlton Athletic last Saturday.

He has been replaced by uncapped Cardiff City forward Isaak Davies, while Queens Park Rangers left-back Rhys Norrington-Davies comes in for Spurs defender Davies.

Davies’ withdrawal also means Wales will need to find a new captain as he has been leading the team in the continued absence of regular captain Aaron Ramsey through injury.
